Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking experienced teachers to work with children and young people with special educational needs. You will support learning, adapt methods for autistic spectrum disorder and SEMH needs, and help raise self-esteem in a challenging but rewarding environment.

As part of a supportive team, you’ll have access to in‑house psychology, teaching assistants and therapy professionals to help you succeed in a rewarding teaching career.

Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of teaching pupils with SEND, including autism/SEMH.
  • Ability to engage and inspire learners across key stages.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and support pupils with SEND to learn and develop their abilities.
  • Help pupils build self-esteem and achieve positive learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals.
