Job description

Catch22 is seeking a compassionate leader to join our expanding Greater Manchester Victim Services as Deputy Head of Service. You will oversee daily operations, ensuring effective support for victims and witnesses on their recovery journey.

Reporting to the Head of Service, you will provide line management to team leaders and administrators, implement quality service systems, and manage recruitment, training, and supervision. You will collaborate closely with police and criminal justice partners to maintain strong referral pathways, ensuring seamless and effective support for crime victims in Greater Manchester.

You will also contribute to strategic development, quality assurance, safeguarding, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• English and Maths GCSEs or equivalent
• Proven experience managing teams in high-impact environments
• Experience working with vulnerable individuals in multi-agency settings
• Confidence in performance management, risk assessment, and safeguarding
• Excellent communication, organizational, and IT skills
• A management qualification or willingness to obtain one

Knowledge of victim and witness support systems and understanding of the criminal justice landscape are highly desirable.
