Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Deputy Head of Construction (FE) for a 3-month rolling contract in Northampton. You will work with the Head of Department to lead the Construction curriculum, drive quality outcomes and manage staff in a workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within FE Construction or training environments.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and learner outcomes.
• Experience managing safety in workshop/practical learning settings.
• Ability to drive curriculum delivery and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of Construction provision and wider team.
• Assist with timetabling, staffing, cover and workload planning.
• Drive quality improvement across attendance, retention, achievement and learner progress.
• Support teaching and learning through coaching, observations, standardisation and CPD.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, learner recruitment and employer engagement.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, workshop practice and awarding body requirements.
