Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd, on behalf of a leading domiciliary care provider in Canterbury, Kent, is seeking a committed Deputy Domiciliary Care Manager to support the Registered Manager and maintain high standards of care in the local community. You will help plan staffing, oversee care assessments, supervise staff and work with health and social care professionals to improve client outcomes.

This is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30–17:00 with an alternate

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a home care service with the elderly and palliative care.
• Experience of working within the CQC standards, health and social care guidelines.
• Experience supervising others.
• Extensive experience engaging with external partners, including health and social care professionals.
• Commitment to health and safety.
• Strong professional boundaries.
• Good literacy, numeracy, communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting registered manager to run the service safely, including covering in the registered manager’s absence and ensuring standards of care are maintained.
• Ensuring that the service safely plans staffing levels and complies with legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake care assessments of clients needing care and support, and work closely with healthcare professionals and others.
• Help the service to recruit and develop new health care workers, supporting, supervising and performance managing them.

Education

NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

Experience in domiciliary care (similar role)
