Job summary

Ministry of Justice in the United Kingdom seeks a Transformation Office Deputy Director (National) to lead the Transformation Office within the Service Strategy and Transformation Senior Leadership Team, overseeing the transformation portfolio, building leadership capability and driving the department's strategy across MoJ and arm's-length bodies.

You will manage a 25 FTE team, provide independent advice to Ministers and senior boards, remove delivery barriers and govern transformation

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale transformation programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate strategy into practical delivery.
• Evidence-based problem solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transformation Office function and provide strategic direction.
• Oversee MoJ-wide transformation landscape including governance and delivery performance.
• Act as escalation point for delivery challenges and broker cross‑department support.
• Drive transformation governance, assurances and risk management.
• Provide independent advice to Ministers and senior boards on performance and risks.
• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of transformation practitioners.
• Set and drive the MoJ transformation strategy and service design capability.
