Job summary

Burhill Group Limited (BGL) is seeking an experienced Course Manager/Head Greenkeeper to oversee the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course and driving range, lead the team, manage facilities and equipment, and ensure high-quality turf conditions.

The role focuses on improving product quality and revenue potential while keeping costs within budgets; you will work with reservoir water supply and hold PA1/PA2/PA6 spraying certificates, with a Basic DBS check as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Course Manager or Head Greenkeeper.
• Experience in turf management.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and resource management.
• Experience working with reservoir water supply.
• Desirable Level 4 qualification in turf management; minimum Level 3 in turf management.
• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates.
• The post holder will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Direct responsibility for the day-to-day management of the golf course and driving range maintenance department, facilities, equipment and employees.
• Improve and maintain the golf course and driving range outfield conditions to the highest possible standard utilizing all available resources.
• Motivate and lead the team to achieve the required standard.

Experience

• Experience as a Course Manager or Head Greenkeeper.
• Demonstrable in an environment relating to turf management.
• Experience in financial planning, budgeting and resource management.
• Experience working with reservoir water supply.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS.

• Desirable Level 4 qualification in turf management.
• Minimum requirement of level 3 qualification in turf management.
• PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates.
• The post holder will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
