Job summary

Pertemps Network Catering is seeking a Deputy Cook for term-time hours (Thursday and Friday, 15 hours a week) to help deliver healthy meals to pupils and support a busy kitchen. You will deputise for the Catering Manager when needed and assist with ordering and service, ensuring food safety and allergen considerations are met.

The role requires an enthusiastic, reliable team player with strong communication skills and a valid Food Safety Level 2 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for pupils.

Deputy Cook

Thursday and Friday Term Time Only (15hrs a week)

As Deputy Cook you will help deliver healthy meals to the children, working closely with the team to keep our kitchen running smoothly.

Your day-to- day tasks will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals for pupils
• Deputising in the absence of the Catering Manager
• Supporting all aspects of kitchen service
• Assisting the Catering Manager with the ordering of goods
• Ensuring all food health and safety regulations are followed
• Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
• Being mindful of dietary and allergen needs

Our client is lookingfor an enthusiastic, reliable team player with a passion for food, with good verbal and written communication skills, an in-date Food Safety Level 2 certificate, knowledge and experience of Food Allergens and a "can do" attitude!

This is initially a temporary position, with the opportunity to go permanent for the right candidate.
