We are looking for people who share our values and commitment to the children and young people we care for and are excited that we have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to recruit Deputy Children's Home Manager to assist the Home's Manager to deliver the very best service and outcomes to children and young people in our care.
The Residential Children’s Homes provide short to long term care for children and young people 5 –17yrs, who for a variety of reasons are unable to live with their families. We look after young people who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum and /or have learning disabilities. Children and young people may also have other complex needs and experience emotional and behavioural difficulties, and you will need to have experience in these areas.
We are looking for candidates who:
• Have previous leadership experience in a children's home
• Have had responsibility for areas of development, performance and standards and in developing teams
• Have a comprehensive understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations including Quality Standards 2015
• Understands the physical, emotional and social needs of young people and their development
• Have a good understanding of attachment theory and trauma
• Experience in providing reflective supervision Residential Child Care Workers.
• Are qualified as a minimum to Level 3 Diploma for Residential Child Care(or equivalent), or higher
• Hold a full UK driving license
