Job Title: Children's Home Manager

About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and values-led children's residential care provider who is seeking a Registered Children's Home Manager for an OFSTED-rated "Good" service based in Derby.

This home supports children and young people with complex care needs, and the incoming manager will be responsible for leading the team, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a safe, therapeutic, and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the children's home in line with OFSTED and care regulations
  • Provide strong and supportive leadership to staff
  • Create and maintain care plans focused on each young person's individual needs
  • Maintain safeguarding, documentation, and regulatory standards
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, families, and stakeholders
  • Deliver a child-centred culture focused on safety, development, and wellbeing

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children and Young People) or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in children's residential care
  • Previous management or senior leadership experience in a regulated setting
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, OFSTED standards, and relevant legislation
  • A passion for creating safe, therapeutic spaces for vulnerable young people
  • Full UK Driving Licence required
