An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Ward Deputy Sister / Charge Nurse on our Children's Medical Day Case Unit.
Children's Medical Day Case Unit comprises 6 day case chairs providing medical procedures across various specialties such as General Medicine, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Allergy, and more.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a new service within Nottingham Children's Hospital. The post holder will oversee the clinical environment and lead the nursing team.
The ideal candidate will be an inspirational leader with excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and developing a team.

Responsibilities include ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care, collaborating with the Ward Manager to improve care quality, supporting patient experience evaluations, ensuring clinical audits, and acting as a resource for patients, visitors, and staff.
This role involves direct patient care and leadership to ensure the safe and effective operation of the ward, including managing staff rosters and providing emotional support to patients and families.
Experience in managing a ward on a daily basis, including shift leadership, is required.
