Job description

Interaction Health and Social Care are looking for a Deputy Children's Home Manager in Northampton.

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Residential Care homes. We are seeking a Deputy Manager who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for our young people. No two days are ever the same; the role may include doing sleep-in shifts. The position involves supporting the Registered Manager in managing the home effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting all aspects of day-to-day operations of the children's home.
  2. Managing budgets to ensure the viability of the business while meeting and exceeding KPIs for people, quality, and performance.
  3. Leading, motivating, and managing staff and resources to achieve high standards of service and regulatory compliance.
Essential Requirements
  • Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
  • Diploma Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care Children and Young People, or equivalent, or a commitment to work towards.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience within a children's home.
  • Previous experience as a Deputy Manager is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of Ofsted standards and safeguarding legislation.
  • Strong leadership skills and energy.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Organized with the ability to multitask.
