Transport for Wales is seeking a Train Manager to lead Depot Chester teams, drive safety performance, and uphold top-quality on-board customer service during train running.

You will manage a team of Train Managers, ensuring competency standards are met, rosters are fair, and incidents are investigated and followed up promptly.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential; we welcome diverse backgrounds as TfW transforms travel in Wales.

Qualificações

• Knowledge and application of all relevant rules, working practices, and procedures for Conductors.
• Understanding of traincrew rostering, conditions of service, welfare procedures and depot facility management.
• Strong people management skills with coaching for performance and handling disciplinary issues.
• Operational experience as a Conductor and knowledge of Transport For Wales traction and rules.
• Leaders who are engaged, pro-active and visible.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a team of Train Managers to support the Conductor Performance Manager.
• Ensure safety and operational competencies with competency processes and procedures.
• Investigate train safety incidents, customer/staff accidents, delays and cancellations, with follow-up actions.
• Provide frontline leadership to uphold customer service standards through feedback and on-the-job coaching.
