Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council is advertising a Depot Stores Operative within the Transport, Engineering and Highways team. The role focuses on efficient operation of the Highway Depot, maintaining stock records, and coordinating deliveries and waste collection to ensure smooth depot activities.

• Assist with deliveries, collections, and inventory management to ensure smooth depot operations.

We are excited to advertise an opportunity for a Depot Stores Operative working in the Transport, Engineering and Highways team. This is an exciting time to join the service at Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, as we are currently expanding the team to strengthen our strategic and technical capacity to deliver the significant capital and revenue budget allocated to the service. To support the efficient operation and day-to-day management of the Highway Depot by maintaining effective control of materials, fuel, tools and PPE. This includes ensuring accurate stock records are maintained, overseeing stock control systems, and coordinating the timely collection of waste disposal skips and updating plant maintenance records. The role is also responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised depot environment,while assisting with deliveries, collections, and inventory management to ensure depot operations run smoothly and effectively.
