Job summary

PPG is seeking a Depot Operative with Driving in Basingstoke. The role involves processing orders, colour matching, picking and replenishing stock, and coordinating deliveries. You will work across office and warehouse tasks with a focus on high quality customer service and adherence to safety standards.

40-hour weeks, Monday to Friday, no weekends, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. Full training provided and opportunities for personal growth.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential with up to 3 penalty points.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills in a customer-facing role.
• Ability to use IT equipment and complete training programmes.
• Organised approach with daily route planning and timely deliveries.
• Strong customer service ethos and drive for business growth.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and safe-working practices.

Responsibilities

• Process orders via phone or trade counter accurately.
• Identify colours and formulate mixes using colour tools.
• Pack and pick items, replenish stock and use warehouse management system as required.
• Maintain relationships with customers and ensure service standards.
• Coordinate deliveries and plan routes efficiently.
• Occasionally drive for customer site visits or deliveries.
