Job summary

Bestway Group is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day depot operations in Aberdeen. You will ensure safe, efficient running, support the General Manager, and lead teams to meet KPIs and deliver excellent customer service.

You will drive stock management, deliveries on-time, staff planning, and compliance with Health & Safety while building strong relationships with Head Office and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager in driving depot performance and achieving all KPIs and objectives.
• Lead and promote a performance-driven culture, motivating teams to deliver the best results.
• Ensure high standards of stock management, availability, and depot presentation.
• Drive on-time and in-full deliveries to build customer confidence and trust.
• Reduce order returns by improving delivery accuracy through effective leadership.
• Ensure excellent customer satisfaction and a consistently positive shopping experience.
• Oversee promotional execution and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Build strong relationships with Head Office, internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
• Deputise for the General Manager in their absence to ensure smooth depot operations.
• Drive productivity by being visible on the shop floor and coaching Team Leaders.
• Plan and manage resources effectively, including staffing and temporary labour requirements.
• Manage people-related matters such as performance, discipline, and grievances professionally.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
• Promote and lead the Customer Satisfaction agenda across the depot.
