Job summary

Olleco in Cannock (Midlands West) is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to help run our depot and support drivers daily. The role focuses on safety, administration and smooth operation, delivering reliable service to our customers and the environment.

You will supervise drivers, manage training, complete paperwork, and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures. A strong eye for detail and teamwork will help you succeed in this busy role.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent administrative skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Experience in working in a transport or logistics role
• IOSH Managing Safely certification or willingness to acquire

Responsibilities

• Provide support, training and assistance to Olleco drivers
• Contribute to the smooth running of our Midlands West depot
• Focus on health & safety, safety procedures, compliance, maintenance, training, administration and rounds
• Make sure daily vehicle checks are completed by drivers and report defects
• Complete all paperwork and IT systems for your work and that of the drivers
• Support induction training, training evaluations and refresher training as required
• Ensure working time checks, DQC and government licence checks are carried out
