Job summary

GAP Group is looking for a General Manager to lead a thriving depot across our Plant & Tool Division. You will own your Profit Centre, shape strategy, and drive service excellence for customers in construction, utilities and infrastructure.

You’ll manage a high-performing team, recruit and train staff, and pursue opportunities to grow revenue while maintaining strong compliance and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Proven operational management experience, ideally within the construction or hire industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate a high-performing team.
• Commercial acumen, including experience managing P&L and spotting business development opportunities.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop depot team to drive performance and exceed customer expectations.
• Own and manage your Profit Centre, influencing all aspects of depot operations from recruitment to purchasing.
• Identify opportunities to grow revenue with new and existing customers.
• Ensure quality and compliance through audits and regular customer visits.
