Job summary

Citco is seeking an experienced Depositary professional to join its UK team. You will lead the deposits and custody function, ensuring robust control environments, regulatory compliance, and strong client service delivery across multiple funds.

As a core member of the Depositary management team, you will work with cross-functional stakeholders and drive risk management, oversight, and continuous improvement in processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ depositary experience within the fund industry.
• Experience in Hedge Fund / Private Equity / Real Estate Alternative Fund sectors.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain appropriate control environment to fulfil depositary obligations to the highest standards in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure full compliance with all policies and procedures, maintaining consistency across global procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive oversight of all Depositary related tasks across clients and teams.
• Manage Depositary team performing review and sign-offs on all NAV reviews, cash flow monitoring, safekeeping of assets and investment compliance reviews.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure errors/breaches recorded and resolved promptly; escalate issues to management when needed.
• Lead on-site inspections of AIFM, administrators and ongoing due diligence of sub-custodians.
• Assist with compilation of material for SOC testing, on-site reviews and annual audit.
• Work with Internal Audit, Operational Control Management & Group Risk to identify, manage and mitigate risk.
