An established local council is seeking a Democratic Services Support Officer to join their dynamic team. Democratic Services Support Officer
In this role you will carry out a varying range of duties connected to supporting and running the meetings of the various Committees, Boards and other member groups of the council, whilst also providing help and support to the elected members (Councillors). The successful candidate will be part of the Democratic Services Team who help with the day-to-day operation of the service for the Councillors including the collation and preparation of meeting agenda papers and the taking and writing up of the minutes. Other duties involve helping with the preparation and support needed to run all types of elections held in the district. There is a requirement to work in the evenings, one day a week on average. We are looking for someone who gets on well with people at all levels and is organised, flexible and can work effectively as part of a busy team to meet tight deadlines.
• 36.25 hrs per week with an annual salary of £25,584 - £27,269
• Agile working scheme with a combination of home and office working
