Job summary

Leonardo Hotels in Manchester is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie (Cold Kitchen) to support the Chef de Partie in daily operations, focusing on afternoon tea, cold starters, salads and banqueting food. A great entry point for a Commis Chef or Junior Chef looking to grow in a professional hotel kitchen.

You will work predominantly daytime shifts, ensuring high standards, food safety, and teamwork across the kitchen. The role offers training and clear progression within a leading hospitality group.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food within the Cold Kitchen section.
• Prepare afternoon tea sandwiches, savouries and accompaniments to the required standards.
• Support the production of cold starters, salads, buffets and banqueting items.
• Complete daily mise en place and ensure ingredients are prepared for service.
• Follow all food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and waste minimisation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Work closely with the Chef de Partie, Sous Chefs and wider kitchen team.
• Support junior team members where required and contribute positively to team performance.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop skills across different kitchen sections.
