Job summary

Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking a Care and Wellbeing Assistant to support adults living with dementia in Cardiff Care Hubs. The role includes assisting with personal care, ensuring wellbeing, and helping people access daytime opportunities and activities.

Ideal candidates will have dementia experience, be willing to train to QCF Level 2, and be flexible for weekend rosters. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with older people with dementia.
• Willing to train and achieve QCF Level 2.
• Flexibility for weekend working on a rota.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the personal care and wellbeing needs of adults living with dementia.
• Help users access daytime opportunities within the care setting and participate in activities.
• Deliver and support participation in social and recreational activities.
