Job summary

Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council is seeking a 35 Hour Care Worker at Tegfan Resource Centre in Aberdare to join our caring team supporting residents with dementia. You will assist with daily living, provide personal care, and offer social contact while following council policies.

Welsh language knowledge is welcomed and training will be provided; opportunities for progression and comprehensive training are available under a supportive staff framework.

Qualifications

• Reliable and able to work within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with residents.
• Welsh-speaking knowledge is desirable with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with all aspects of daily living in accordance with their care plan.
• Provide for personal care needs including dressing, washing, bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting and clothing care.
• Provide social contact and emotional support through effective communication.
• Adhere to standards, policies and procedures of the Council's Homes/Resource Centres.
• Pursue AWIF and Social Care Wales registration as part of progression.
