Job summary

Cyngor Caerdydd/Cardiff Council is seeking a dedicated Care and Wellbeing Assistant to join our Cardiff Care Hubs. You will support adults living with dementia to access daytime opportunities, provide personal care, and help with wellbeing in a caring day-centre setting.

We value flexibility, weekend rota availability, and collaboration within a supportive team; QCF Level 2 training or willingness to obtain is required. Welsh/English applications welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with older people with dementia.
• Willling to train and achieve QCF Level 2.
• Flexible and able to work on a weekend rota.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend to the personal care and support needs of adults living with dementia in the daycentre.
• Facilitate access to daytime opportunities and social/recreational activities.
• Work as part of an established team to promote well-being and participation.
