Job summary

A care service provider in Yarm is seeking a positive and active Dementia Care Assistant to support an older gentleman in maintaining independence at home. The role includes assisting with social activities, light DIY jobs, and companionship. Must be a driver with own car and be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Competitive pay of £12.21 per hour for 4 hours a week, with work on either Monday or Friday.

Personal Assistant – 4 hours per week – Yarm area
Hourly Rate = £12.21

We are looking to recruit a positive, active person to support an older gent living in the Yarm area

You will be joining an existing team of personal assistants, supporting this gent to remain independent in the family home.

Our client has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, so an understanding of dementia and mental health would be preferred, but not essential.

Duties to include :

• Support with accessing the community, such as shopping
• Support with light DIY jobs around the home
• Companionship

Day of work to be either a Monday or a Friday – this will be discussed and agreed at interview

Driver, with own transport essential

An Enhanced DBS check will be required, however the cost of the check will be paid by the employer
