Job summary

Coniston House Care Home is seeking a passionate Activity Coordinator to design and deliver a person-centred activity programme for residents living with dementia. You will work to understand individual interests and memories, tailoring activities to each person and maintaining careful records of participation and outcomes.

You will collaborate with a caring team, plan sessions in advance, and adapt activities to varying abilities while promoting wellbeing, safety, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must have empathy and understanding of dementia care needs.
• Ability to design and deliver a varied activity programme.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Proficient in basic computer tools (Word/Excel/Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate a varied programme of activities for residents.
• Deliver activities in group and 1:1 settings.
• Plan activity schedules and maintain records of activities.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to care planning.
• Promote health and safety and equal opportunities in activities.
