Job summary

Molton Brown on South Molton Street in London seeks a Demand Planning Team Lead to guide a two-person team and drive forecast accuracy across global channels. Translate market insights into robust short- and mid-term forecasts to support inventory and service levels.

You will coach two planners, coordinate with regional teams, and support NPD launches and seasonal promotions while presenting insights to senior leadership. Expertise in cosmetics/FMCG demand planning and SAP/IBP is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required; higher degree advantageous.
• 5–7 years' experience in demand planning, preferably cosmetics/FMCG, with SAP/IBP or similar planning systems.
• People leadership experience with coaching and developing a team.
• Commercial and strategic judgement with decisions impacting cost, revenue and business.
• Analytical and critical-thinking skills to translate demand data into forecasts and actions.
• Effective stakeholder management with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Production and Supply Chain.
• Ability to operate across multiple planning horizons in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Demand Planning team, owning forecasts using the Kao system; ensure transparency and continuous improvement.
• Oversee analysis of demand patterns and market dynamics; collaborate with regional Commercial teams to incorporate input for forecasts.
• Work with senior management to align demand with business priorities and manage high-revenue-impact decisions.
• Manage, coach and develop two Demand Planners, supporting their performance and growth.
• Support new product launches and range reviews; ensure promotions have the required quantities across markets.
