Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Driver Technician Trainee in Weybridge. You will complete a 3-month trainee programme to become a qualified Customer Delivery Technician with a C1 licence, joining a 2-person delivery crew to install products at customers’ homes.

Role includes heavy lifting, customer-facing duties and adherence to driving regulations while delivering high-quality service across 41 hours per week on a 4-day rota.

Qualifications

• UK B-category driving licence with up to 6 points.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Interest in installation and technology.

Responsibilities

• Represent the John Lewis brand with excellent customer service.
• Load and deliver with a two-person team, assisting warehouse collaboration.
• Install products (TVs, appliances, joinery) at customers' homes and explain operation.
• Adhere to driving regulations and Working Time Directive; maintain safe working environment.
• Handle large items and heavy lifting as part of deliveries.
