NHS England is seeking a Senior Privacy Specialist to join the ONDG team. This role involves advising on data use to support individual care while maintaining public trust. The successful candidate will deliver secretariat functions and support resources for Caldicott Guardians, contributing to the improvement of public health and reduction of health inequalities.
The NDG advises the health and adult social care system in England to help ensure that people's confidential information is kept safe and used appropriately. The Office of the National Data Guardian (ONDG), hosted by NHS England in the PTT sub-directorate, supports the NDG in achieving her vision and mission.
The Privacy, Transparency & Trust (PTT) Sub-directorate is a part of the Delivery Directorate. Its mission is to enable NHS England to drive innovation and improve lives through greater use of data and technology, and to be a well-run organisation.
We are seeking a forward-thinking individual with strong delivery, project management, and business operation skills to join our small, friendly team (ONDG) supporting the NDG for Health and Social Care.
While the postholder will be an NHS England employee, an agreement ensures the NDG's operational independence. You will be part of the Privacy, Transparency, and Trust sub-directorate but will be operationally accountable to the NDG.
Your role will help ensure the NDG serves the public interest by advising the health and care system on data use that supports individual care, benefits the public, and maintains trust in a confidential health and care system.
