Job summary

Booker Group plc in Cardiff is seeking a Transport Supervisor to manage the day-to-day delivery operation and lead a team of drivers and pickers to meet daily targets. Strong customer service and telephone skills are essential.

You will ensure compliance with company policies, communicate key information to the team, maintain a safe working environment, and support the delivery manager in vehicle checks and timely task delivery. Experience supervising logistics teams is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a small to medium sized team.
• Experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Management CPC would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Delivered Department is compliant with Company policy and procedures.
• Communicate important management information to relevant team members.
• Supervise and maintain a safe working environment for all colleagues and customers, reporting Health & Safety concerns.
• Passionately promote and drive brand image through knowledge of product and by ensuring guidelines are followed at all times.
• Support the delivery manager in ensuring all vehicles are roadworthy and legally compliant.
• Supervise, plan and coordinate tasks to ensure all are completed in a timely manner.
