Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a Transport Supervisor to lead a delivery operation, guiding a team of drivers and pickers to meet daily targets while upholding excellent customer service and a safe working environment.

You will report to the Delivery Manager, ensure vehicle roadworthiness and legal compliance, and share management information with the team. A Management CPC is advantageous; Booker supports flexible working and an inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a small to medium sized team in a warehouse or transport environment.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills and professional phone manner.
• Health and safety awareness aligned with company policy and procedures.
• Management CPC would be advantageous for the role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery operations and lead the team of drivers and pickers.
• Motivate staff to achieve daily targets and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Ensure compliance in the Delivered Department with company policies and procedures.
• Communicate important management information to all relevant team members.
• Ensure vehicles are roadworthy and legally compliant and coordinate tasks efficiently.
