Job summary

Booker Group, part of Tesco plc, is recruiting a Transport Supervisor to oversee a busy delivery operation in the UK. You will lead drivers and pickers, ensure safety and compliance, and drive excellent customer service while promoting the Booker brand.

The role requires strong supervisory experience in warehouse or transport, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to coordinate tasks efficiently. Flexible working may be discussed during the application process.

Qualifications

Experience supervising a small to medium sized team in warehouse or transport.
Experience in a customer focused environment.
Strong telephone and customer service skills.
Ability to lead a delivery operation and drive performance.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day running of a busy delivery operation.
Lead a team of drivers and pickers and motivate them to meet daily targets.
Ensure the Delivered Department complies with company policy and procedures.
Communicate management information to relevant team members.
Supervise and maintain a safe working environment and report Health & Safety concerns.
Promote brand image through product knowledge and customer service.
Support the delivery manager to ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and legally compliant.
Plan and coordinate to complete tasks in an effective and timely manner.
