Job summary

Booker Group, the UK's leading food & drink wholesaler, is seeking a Transport Supervisor to run the day-to-day delivery operation. You will lead a team of drivers and pickers, motivating them to achieve daily targets while ensuring excellent customer service and phone support.

You will monitor policy compliance, share vital information with the team, maintain a safe working environment, promote the brand through knowledge and service, and help ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a small to medium sized team in warehouse or transport.
• Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
• Management CPC qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Delivered Department complies with company policy and procedures.
• Disseminate important management information to all relevant team members.
• Supervise and maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and customers.
• Promote brand image through product knowledge and excellent customer service.
• Support the delivery manager to ensure vehicles are roadworthy and compliant.
• Plan and coordinate tasks to be completed efficiently and on time.
