Job summary

At Cromwell Group (Holdings) Ltd, we are seeking a Delivery Operative to support the Operations Manager in ensuring reliable, on-time deliveries within the designated area. You will assist with daily operations, driver duties, and customer interactions, helping maintain high service levels and safety standards.

The role requires a valid driving licence, good computer literacy, and a proactive approach to learning new systems.

Qualifications

Delivery and customer service experience.
Confident in ability to learn new systems.
Driving license is essential.
Reasonable level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

Ensure all colleagues are appropriately supported and aware of their responsibilities on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure the effective and safe on time in full delivery of goods using route optimization software (Maxoptra).
Oversee or communicate to OM to ensure returns are completed as necessary; parcel force collections actioned and any goods in deliveries/directs communicated to OM.
Maintaining all areas of the branch clean and well maintained.
Maintain a safe working environment; complete daily van checks and fire point tests.
Identify and report accidents and near misses to the OM.
Work with IMS Coordinators, Sales and Customer Service to reduce stockouts and relay customer needs.
Provide support to Hub branches as required.
Support the Operations Manager with reasonable management requests.
Support Customer Envoys with guidance and expertise.
