Job description

As a Delivery Officer, you will help introduce and improve technology products, systems and ways of working across the organisation. Working within the Technology and Data team, you will coordinate activities from planning and testing through to implementation, user adoption and ongoing support. You will work with staff, suppliers and technical teams to ensure changes are practical, well managed and successfully adopted. What you will be doing? You will coordinate the delivery of new products and changes to existing products, tracking activities, identifying issues and helping work progress to agreed outcomes. You will support planning, maintain clear information about progress and ensure actions are completed or escalated appropriately. You will maintain testing, delivery and support documentation, ensuring activities are completed in line with agreed governance, compliance and quality standards. You will organise and carry out technical and user acceptance testing, making sure problems are identified and addressed before changes are introduced. You will also support service readiness, implementation and handover into operational use, including preparing guidance, delivering training and coaching users. Alongside delivery work, you will provide second and third-line support for agreed products and services. You will investigate issues, work with suppliers and other Technology and Data staff to resolve problems and maintain clear records and documentation. You will help develop delivery capability across the team through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing and contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment., Please ensure your cover letter clearly demonstrates relevant experience. If we do not have sufficient evidence, we may not be able to shortlist you. We have an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference to the lives of our residents, staff and communities across Wales. We are looking for someone with experience of supporting the delivery, implementation or ongoing operation of technology products, systems or business processes. You will be organised, able to manage several activities at once and confident taking ownership of tasks through to completion or an appropriate handover. You will have a structured approach to testing and problem solving, with the ability to gather information, identify issues and involve others when needed. You will understand the importance of good planning, clear documentation and effective support when introducing change. You will communicate clearly with technical and non-technical staff, build positive working relationships and explain information in a practical and accessible way. Experience of working with suppliers, supporting users or delivering training would be helpful. The role can be based at any of our offices in the South (Cardiff), North (Ewloe) or West (Newcastle Emlyn) regions. We offer flexibility in choosing the most suitable base location, while still ensuring strong links with the wider Technology & Data team. Regular travel between offices may be required at times, but your main working location can be aligned to the area that works best for you. We are one of the leading housing providers in Wales, providing affordable homes and services to more than 24,000 residents in over 12,500 properties across Wales. We employ over 600 colleagues across Wales & West Housing and Cambria Maintenance Services, working together to make a difference to people's lives, homes and communities.
