Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a Delivery Manager/Project Manager to lead technical projects end-to-end within an Agile framework across UK teams, leveraging strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills.

The role requires at least 5 years of delivery experience, expertise in Agile, PRINCE2 or PMP, and a track record of driving continuous improvement, with flexible/remote working options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience delivering technical projects in an Agile environment.
• Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coaching teams.
• Experience scaling Agile across multiple workstreams and managing dependencies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of technology domains and industry verticals.

Responsibilities

• Expert facilitation of all Agile ceremonies with adaptability to team needs.
• Analyze Agile metrics and optimize processes to improve delivery.
• Scale Agile practices across multiple workstreams.
• Coordinate cross-team sprints and manage inter-team dependencies.
• Backlog management, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Improve team velocity and delivery predictability.
• Utilize Agile tools and reporting (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).

Job description

Locations Belfast, Birmingham, Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience in technical project delivery
• Successfully led difficult technical projects end-to-end using Agile methodologies
• Proven track record facilitating Agile ceremonies for medium-sized teams
• Experience coaching teams on Agile practices and driving continuous improvement
• Specific knowledge in technology domain and/or industry vertical

Agile & Project Management Expertise

• Expert facilitation of all Agile ceremonies with ability to adapt to team needs
• Strong experience with Agile metrics analysis and process optimization
• Proven ability to scale Agile practices across multiple workstreams
• Experience managing dependencies and coordinating cross-team sprints
• Skilled at backlog management, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria definition

Technical Requirements

• Experience working within GDS
• Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution abilities
• Ability to influence without direct authority
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication
• Comfortable presenting to C-level executives

Qualifications

• Overall strong Delivery Management / Project Management capabilities
• Experience in Business / Compliance / Process delivery.
• Familiar with implementing strong process control or compliance.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile, PRINCE 2 or PMP and practical experience of same.
• Budget management, commercial and Customer experience.
