Job summary

National Energy System Operator (NESO) is seeking a Delivery Manager to lead end‑to‑end digital, data, and technology deliveries across multiple teams and suppliers. You will drive planning, governance, reporting and stakeholder engagement to realise benefits while managing budgets and contracts.

The role is based in Wokingham or Warwick with hybrid working and regular travel. Strong leadership, governance, and DevOps experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong delivery leadership across multi‑vendor tech environments.
• Ability to challenge engineering, product and commercial decisions with insight.
• Proven governance: RAID, milestones, reporting, investment governance.
• Experience in commercial activities: RFPs, vendor negotiations, contracts.
• Capability to build relationships and influence across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery plans, milestones, dependencies and resource needs.
• Manage RAID logs with early risk warnings and mitigations.
• Provide executive reporting for boards and governance forums.
• Lead delivery governance and cost monitoring across programs.
• Drive cross‑functional alignment and benefits realisation.
• Oversee operational readiness and transition to live service.
• Support DevOps practices and product centric delivery.
