Job summary

The Sofa Delivery Company, part of the DFS Group, is hiring for a two-person delivery role in the United Kingdom. You will complete 10–15 furniture deliveries daily, helping install items in customers’ homes and ensuring safe, professional service.

A strong emphasis on teamwork, safety and company values is key. You’ll work in a hands-on role with lifting heavy items, route planning support, and the chance to grow with a well-known furniture group.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid 7.5T licence and CPC/ Digi Tacho where applicable.
• Must have a valid driver’s licence for 12 months with minimal points.

Responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate with the customer ahead of delivery to confirm timing and address.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the correct room and that no rubbish is left behind.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values in all interactions with customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment checks and report defects.

You’ll work as part of a skilled 2‑person delivery team, completing 10–15 deliveries a day and installing furniture in customers’ homes. This is a hands‑on, physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy items and navigating stairs and tight spaces. If you take pride in doing a job properly, you’ll thrive here.

What you'll be doing

• Complete all deliveries into customers’ homes in a safe and professional manner.
• Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery to ensure that they know you’re on your way to their address.
• Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that we do not leave them with any rubbish to dispose of.
• Represent The Sofa Delivery Company values and those of our brand partners in everything that you do.
• Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service we offer.
• Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
• Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if…

• You hold a 7.5T Licence/Grandfather rights/ROI equivalent, up to date Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid manual driving licence
• You’ve held a valid driver’s licence for 12 months with less than 6 points
• You’re ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team.
• You’re great with people and enjoy helping customers.
• You’re comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
• You’ve got strong time management skills and thrive on variety.
• You take pride in your work and value safety – of yourself and those around you.
