Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) postal delivery drivers. You’ll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels on your route, combining driving with foot delivery and providing friendly service.

Shifts vary and you’ll need a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 points, fitness to walk 20,000 steps a day, and the ability to adapt quickly. A driving assessment is required on start.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and handle a mailbag up to 16kg.
• Shifts vary; must be flexible and able to adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your round, primarily by driving a Royal Mail van and some walking.
• Ensure items are delivered securely and on time, following business standards.
• Pass a driving assessment on starting and stay active throughout the day.
