Job summary

Ocado Logistics is hiring a Delivery Driver in the Dordon area. You will be on the road delivering quality groceries on time and engaging with customers to ensure a standout service.

You'll work 40 hours across five days out of seven, with AM/PM shifts; starts can be as early as 05:30 and finish by 12:00. Paid breaks, premium rates for evenings and Sundays, and progression opportunities.

In return, we use our automated technology to pre‑plan your route and pre‑load your van! Everyone likes their groceries delivered at different times, which is why our shifts include evenings, weekends, and weekdays. In return, you’ll receive premium payments on top of your base pay, boosting your average hourly earnings to £13.75 per hour. Plus, with enhanced overtime rates available, you will have even more opportunities to increase your earnings and help fund those special occasions. All your breaks are paid, meaning for every minute at work you get paid. That’s a great deal! What We Need From You

• No delivery experience? No problem. Bring a positive attitude, a great customer focus, and we’ll provide all the training you need to succeed.
• Driving Licence Requirements:
  • Full UK or EU driving licence.
  • Minimum of 12 months driving experience.
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years.
  • Some deliveries involve the handling of alcohol products, so you must be over 18 to apply.
  • As this is a customer facing role, good communication skills are also essential.

Contract and Working Hours

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Hours: 40 hours (including paid breaks)
• Contracted days: You will be required to work any 5 days out of 7 working 8 hour shifts, and will be provided with further information during pre-boarding.
• Shifts: AM & PM. You may start as early as 05:30 in the morning, and can finish as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time prior to applying. You will receive your shift rota up to 13 weeks in advance.

Pay and Compensation

• The position is lunar paid. This means you will be paid every 4 weeks according to a monthly schedule. Please take this into consideration when applying.
• Hourly Pay Rate:
  • Monday to Saturday (Basic Rate): £13.22
  • Evening Premium (from 6pm): £1.12
  • Sunday Day Premium: £1.32
  • Sunday Evening Premium: £2.55
  • Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Day Shift): £16.53
  • Overtime rate Monday to Saturday (Evening Shift): £17.65
