Job summary

Wolseley’s Plumb Centre in Bishop’s Stortford is hiring a part-time Delivery Driver (3.5t) for 20 hours per week, mornings. You’ll deliver plumbing and heating supplies locally, building strong customer relationships and maintaining vehicle safety with daily checks.

This role requires a full UK driving licence and a willingness to help in all branch duties to keep the operation running smoothly. Benefits include annual leave and a pension, with bonus opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience with multidrop deliveries is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and assist in branch activities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver plumbing and heating supplies within the local area.

• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure safety.
• Load and unload deliveries, manual handling.
• Assist warehouse duties including stock checks when not on deliveries.

Position:

Part-time Delivery Driver 3.5t - Bishops Stortford - Plumb Centre - 20 hours

Working hours and pattern:

Our branches are open Monday to Saturday (Sat. mornings only). This vacancy is for 20 hours (4 hrs/day), Mornings. Working pattern will be discussed at the interview stage.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver plumbing and heating supplies within the local area


• Build strong relationships with our customers


• Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure everything is safe and ready to go


• Load and unload deliveries, including manual handling


• Support with warehouse duties when you're back from deliveries, including unloading stock, picking & packing orders and carrying out stock checks

Requirements:

So, if you're over the age of 18 and have:

• A full clean UK Driving Licence


• Previous multidrop driving experience is ideal but not essential


• A genuine desire to be a team player, willing to assist in all areas to ensure the smooth running of the branch
