Job summary

Medstrom Ltd is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team in Castle Donington, Derbyshire. You will be responsible for delivering Medstrom products to customers and hospital sites across the UK, typically using a 7.5t lorry or long-wheelbase vans.

You must hold a full UK manual licence, be customer-focused, and able to work independently. Full induction, training, and the chance to join an Employee Ownership Trust await the successful candidate.

Qualifications

• Valid UK manual driving licence capable of driving 7.5t and long-wheelbase vans.
• Ability to work on own initiative following business procedures to meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medstrom products to customers and locations across the UK.
• Load and unload vehicle; ensure stock and tools are secured.
• Travel to hospital sites or Medstrom locations for deliveries and collections.
• Update deliveries on electronic handheld devices.
• Coordinate with colleagues to ensure timely, accurate deliveries.

The Role

As a Delivery Driver, you will be required to deliver an effective and timely delivery service to our customers.

You will be responsible for transporting Medstrom products and laundry across the UK, driving a 7.5t lorry and long-wheelbase vans.

• You will load and unload the vehicle, ensuring you take care of the stock and tools you transport, as well as the van
• Travel to hospital sites or Medstrom locations and deliver the products to the designated areas
• Liaising with Medstrom colleagues regarding deliveries and collections
• Completion of jobs on electronic handheld devices

This is the ideal role for a confident driver with a great customer focus to embark upon a rewarding career with a growing business.

Working pattern: This role is Monday to Friday.

About You

• A full UK manual driving licence is required, with the ability and confidence to drive 7.5t and long-wheelbase vans
• The ability to work on your own initiative and follow procedures laid out by the business to achieve deadlines
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules
• The ability to load a van with beds and mattresses
• A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Excellent customer service skills
• The ability to communicate effectively

Due to the nature of our business, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS check prior to commencing the role.
