Join Our Team as a Delivery Director!

We are looking for a Delivery Director to build, lead and manage a global team of Delivery Managers, ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of high-quality software solutions across multiple teams and initiatives.

You will play a pivotal role in establishing strategic delivery frameworks, coaching leadership teams, and aligning delivery practices with business goals, being the ‘glue’ that enables all functions in the business to operate effectively as a delivery unit.

You will work closely with all areas of the business, however, the core will be engineering and product teams, ensuring consistent, predictable and high-quality technology outcomes

Leadership and Coaching

· Provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of Delivery Managers, fostering a culture of empowerment, ownership, and accountability

· Act as a trusted mentor and advisor to Delivery Managers, coaching them to develop their skills in agile/lean practices, stakeholder engagement, and delivery strategies

· Champion agile/lean delivery principles across the business, ensuring consistent adoption across teams while tailoring approaches to suit different environments and stakeholders

· Support teams in embedding effective delivery practices, including setting up agile ceremonies, defining workflows, and implementing KPIs to measure performance.

Delivery Management

· Oversee the successful delivery of projects and teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets

· Establish and maintain robust reporting processes to provide clear visibility of project progress, risks, and dependencies

· Collaborate with cross-functional leadership teams to define strategic roadmaps and ensure delivery milestones align with wider company objectives

· Manage escalations and organisational-level impediments, providing clear pathways for resolution and ensuring minimal disruption to delivery

· Develop and implement best practices to manage dependencies, improve delivery flow, and ensure seamless coordination across teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Establish strong partnerships with product managers, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to align delivery priorities with business goals

· Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, providing clear and consistent communication on delivery status, risks, and resource planning

· Drive effective communication between teams, ensuring transparency in decision-making and delivery progress

· Serve as a key escalation point for complex delivery issues, working to resolve challenges swiftly and collaboratively.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement by empowering teams to regularly review and refine delivery processes

· Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve team performance, and enhance overall delivery outcomes

· Champion innovation, encouraging teams to explore new tools, techniques, and strategies to improve delivery efficiency.

Reporting and Metrics

· Define and implement standards for reporting across all teams, ensuring insights are actionable and inform strategic decisions

· Develop comprehensive reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility into team performance, project health, and ROI

· Establish KPIs to measure delivery success, ensuring data-driven decision-making informs business strategy.

Your profile:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in delivery leadership roles, including experience managing teams of Delivery Managers

· Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Agile Coach (ICP-ACC), Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly desirable.

· Strong servant-leadership mindset, empowering teams to thrive

· Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities

· Ability to drive cultural change and champion agile/lean principles at all levels of the organization

· Clear and concise communicator with ability to influence C-suite

· Relentless focus on achieving business outcomes through effective delivery management and strategic alignment.

Location

We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates based in London who are able to commute to the office at least 2 days a week.

Guidelines for Hybrid/Home Office :

  • Located in London
  • Please note that if you live within a commutable distance of the office you will be asked to enter into a hybrid working arrangement - at least 2x a week in the office.
  • A secure home office at your confirmed address, free from background noise or other distractions.
  • You must meet our minimum internet speeds if you want to work remotely / in our hybrid model and this will be checked during the recruitment process and again when you join. We also have a great office that you can work from as an alternative.
