Job summary

CNA Hardy is hiring a Delegated Underwriting Onboarding Manager for our London office to lead end-to-end onboarding and renewal of delegated authority and portfolio solutions. You will provide technical guidance, coordinate stakeholders and ensure governance, approvals and ongoing oversight of delegated arrangements.

You will liaise across Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, Claims, Finance and Operations, driving improvements to processes, systems and the target operating model while maintaining

• Knowledge of Lloyd's Market structures and delegated arrangements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage dependencies.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end onboarding, due diligence, approvals and renewals for Coverholders and delegated arrangements.
• Provide guidance on delegated underwriting structures, governance and risks.
• Coordinate stakeholders across Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, Claims, Finance and Operations.
• Drive improvements to onboarding processes, controls and MI.

The Role We are currently hiring for a Delegated Underwriting Onboarding Manager in our London office to lead the end-to-end onboarding and renewal of delegated authority and portfolio solutions arrangements. You will provide technical guidance, coordinate stakeholders and ensure each arrangement meets the required standards for due diligence, governance, approval and ongoing oversight.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead onboarding: Own and coordinate the end-to-end due diligence, approval and renewal process for Coverholders, managing general agents, business partners, portfolio solutions and other delegated arrangements.
• Provide technical guidance: Advise on delegated underwriting structures, operating models, contractual arrangements, scopes of authority, governance requirements and associated risks.
• Coordinate stakeholders: Act as the central point of contact across Underwriting, Compliance, Legal, Claims, Finance, Operations and external partners, ensuring requirements, approvals and dependencies are clearly managed.
• Strengthen governance: Maintain effective controls, track conditions of approval, oversee materiality assessments and ensure amendments, endorsements and supporting evidence follow the required review process.
• Lead delivery and improvement: Manage team workloads and quality assurance, produce timely management information, support training and drive improvements to onboarding processes, systems and the target operating model.

What We’re Looking For

• Delegated underwriting expertise: Experience in delegated authority, underwriting governance, compliance, risk, insurance operations or a related specialty insurance function, with a strong understanding of delegated arrangements.
• London Market knowledge: Experience within the Lloyd’s or London Market and knowledge of structures such as binding authorities, lineslips, broker facilities, consortia, master policies or third-party claims arrangements.
• Stakeholder leadership: A proven ability to coordinate complex activity across multiple teams, build effective relationships and constructively challenge incomplete or unclear information.
• Sound judgement and organisation: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to review substantial documentation, identify gaps and dependencies, manage competing priorities and escalate material concerns appropriately.
• Systems and improvement focus: Experience using PAS and Lloyd’s systems, including Crystal, Atlas, DCOM and DAM, together with a track record of improving onboarding processes, controls, workflow or management information.
