Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Development Engineer in Bristol with hybrid office presence. You will own and deliver development activities across verification, validation, and integration, ensuring robust, verified engineering solutions align with customer and regulatory requirements.

The role supports Defence programmes and requires collaboration with multiple engineering teams, coaching delivery of verification activities, and managing risk to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in relevant domain preferred.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute verification strategy and plans for development.
• Coach project teams on verification activities and drive V&V behaviours.
• Plan engine verification and validation tests with subsystem teams.
• Create substantiation evidence and clearance documentation for the project.
• Coordinate aircraft integration issues to support the programme.
• Lead risk management and gated reviews for development packages.
• Deliver Engine Development Plan and Product Development Plan.
• Ensure data reports drive the programme schedule and mitigate risks.
• Communicate assembly, test and strip instructions for verification programmes.
• Define experiments/test requirements and hardware configuration needs.
