Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Product Consultant to own backlog maturity and drive MVP thinking across delivery teams. You’ll communicate value to stakeholders and lead agile ceremonies, workshops, and stakeholder discussions to achieve consensus.

You’ll coach and develop junior staff, foster client relationships, and help shape product capabilities while navigating defence sector projects with DV clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering bespoke software in an agile client-facing environment.
• Defence sector experience and active DV clearance are essential.
• Lifecycle involvement from analysis to launch and live ops.
• Excellent facilitation of workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Modelling As-Is / To-Be processes and presenting for buy-in.
• Strong stakeholder management and adaptability in collaboration.
• Decomposing work into deliverables and managing scope for MVP.
• Clear ability to elicit functional, technical and non-functional requirements.
• Effective backlog prioritisation and dependency management.
• Proven sales activity contribution and client relationship building.
• Experience coaching juniors and developing the wider team.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the team's backlog maturity from inception to delivery.
• Drive MVP thinking and communicate value to stakeholders.
• Lead agile ceremonies and run workshops with diverse groups.
• Coach and develop a small staff, focusing on performance.
• Support delivery of initiatives within the Product capability.
• Build trusted relationships inside and outside the delivery team.
