Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Python Developer for a contract role in Cambridgeshire, with on-site and hybrid options. The role focuses on building software for defence cloud environments, supporting data/AI, automation, tooling, and DevOps across projects.

Familiarity with D2S would be highly advantageous, and UK Eyes only security is required. The position involves implementing secure, scalable software within aerospace/defence settings, using OpenShift, Tekton Pipelines, GitHub, ArgoCD and

Qualifications

Strong Python development skills with production-grade software experience.
Experience in cloud environments, containerisation and modern DevOps.
Knowledge of OpenShift and Quay, plus automated pipelines and tooling.

Responsibilities

Develop, test and maintain Python software for defence cloud integration.
Contribute to data/AI, automation and tooling, and DevOps/infrastructure projects.
Design and support DevOps tooling, workflows and delivery pipelines.
Work with OpenShift, Quay, Vault and Tekton Pipelines.
Support CI/CD using GitHub, ArgoCD and SonarQube.
Collaborate with engineering teams using Jira and established processes.
Help implement secure, reliable and scalable software for aerospace/defence.
