Job summary

CGI's Space, Defence and Intelligence unit is seeking experienced Python Developers in the UK to design, build, and operate secure, scalable solutions for government clients. You will work with cross-functional teams, focus on AWS cloud environments, and contribute to architecture decisions in an agile setting.

DV clearance or willingness to obtain DV clearance is required, and sole UK nationality is expected.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Exposure to frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python applications.
• Building scalable APIs and backend services.
• Working with large datasets and data processing pipelines.
• Contributing to system architecture and technical design decisions.
• Automating workflows and improving deployment pipelines.
• Maintaining and enhancing cloud-based environments (primarily AWS).
• Supporting live systems and implementing enhancements when required.
