Ex-Mil Recruitment Limited is seeking a Python Software Engineer for a hybrid role covering the Midlands and remote work. You will join an established tech team in the Defence and secure technology sector, delivering software across multiple projects.

The role requires at least 3 years of civilian software engineering experience with Python, Linux, and Bash. Applicants with SC clearance or eligibility are preferred, and a degree in Software Engineering is desirable.

Qualificações

• Minimum 3 years' civilian/commercial software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python development.
• Solid Linux experience for server environments.
• Experience with Bash scripting for automation.
• A degree or equivalent in Software Engineering is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Developing and coding software solutions.
• Work within Agile teams and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Write technical and design documentation.
• Operate in DevOps environments and use associated tooling.
• Investigate and resolve complex customer issues, including third-line support.
• Translate customer and technical requirements into practical solutions.
• Assist with project planning, estimation and technical delivery.
• Research new technologies and improve engineering practices.
• Provide technical input to wider business functions.
• Mentor and support colleagues within the engineering team.
