Job summary

Ex-Mil Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Python Software Engineer to join our Defence Tech client in a hybrid role offering remote work in the Midlands. You will develop software solutions, collaborate in Agile sprints, and contribute to DevOps workflows while handling complex customer issues.

Candidates should have at least 3 years civilian software experience, strong Python, Linux and Bash skills, and a willingness to obtain SC clearance.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' civilian/commercial software engineering experience.
Strong Python, Linux and Bash skills.

Responsibilities

Developing and coding software solutions.
Working within Agile teams and taking an active role in sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives.
Writing technical and design documentation.
Working within DevOps environments and associated tooling.
Investigating and resolving complex customer issues, including third-line support.
Translating customer and technical requirements into practical solutions.
Supporting project planning, estimation and technical delivery.
Researching new technologies and improving engineering practices.
Providing technical input to wider business functions.
Mentoring and supporting colleagues within the engineering team.
