Job summary

Babcock International in Warminster, Wiltshire, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to maintain and repair a range of military and civilian vehicles, from light vehicles to specialist platforms. The role offers a 37-hour week, onsite working hours, on-site gym access, supplied tools, overtime options and a supportive environment focused on career development and security clearances.

You'll diagnose faults, perform servicing, tests and certification, and contribute to safety and standards

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair confirmed.
• City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology required.
• BTEC Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology required.
• Class 1 REME Vehicle Mechanic qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles.
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance.
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards.
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation.
